當弱線橫跨整個岬角時，兩邊的海浪會同時侵蝕這條弱線，在岬角兩邊各自形成海蝕穴。隨時間過去，兩個海蝕穴會貫穿岬角，形成海蝕拱。
When a line of weakness occurs across a headland, waves from both sides attack this line at the same time. Sea caves are formed on both sides. Over time, the two sea caves cut through the headland and form a sea arch.
